Professor Michael von Wolff
Michael von Wolff studied medicine in Aachen and London and completed his gynaecological training at the University Hospitals of Munich and Heidelberg. During this time he also completed a research fellowship in New York.
After receiving an extraordinary professorship in Heidelberg in 2007, he was appointed head of the Department of Gynaecological Endocrinology and Reproductive Medicine at the University Hospital Inselspital in Bern, Switzerland, in 2009, where he also received an associate professorship.
His current research focuses on fertility preservation in cancer. In this context, he founded the 3-country network FertiPROTEKT (www.fertiprotekt.com) in 2006, the ESHRE Task Force Fertility Preservation in 2007 and the international project FertiTOX (www.fertitox.com) in 2023. He co-founded the ESHRE-SIG Fertility Preservation and is a board member of the International Society for Fertility Preservation, ISFP.
He also works clinically and scientifically on the optimisation of Natural Cycle/Minimal Stimulation IVF and founded the International Network IVF-Naturelle (www.ivf-naturelle.com).
He is the author of around 200 Pubmed-registered publications and books on endocrinology, fertility preservation and Natural Cycle/Minimal Stimulation IVF.
